Gamma Pi Pulls Together After Two Major Losses in Three Months
A year that many saw as the welcome end to the pandemic and a return to normalcy has been anything but for the Brothers of Gamma Pi Chapter in Prince Gorge's County, Md. It has been a difficult year. January 2021 began with the shocking news that three-term Immediate Past Basileus Bro. Rev. Tony Lee had succumbed to the deadly coronavirus while hospitalized after struggling with the disease for several months. And just a few days ago, the chapter was hit with another shock when Bro. William "Bill" "364" Reese fell dead in his home just minutes after giving a heartfelt For the Ages talk full of inspiration and UPLIFT to high school students who were participating in the 2020-21 closeout of Gamma Pi's Project ENRICH college prep program, on the Zoom platform. Members of the Fraternity and Chapter will join family and friends in celebrating Bro. Reese's life on Monday, May 10. Read more about Bro. Reese's life and watch his final words of wisdom to Prince George's County youth, and also read about Bro. Lee's devotion to the local DMV community, on the Gamma Pi LIVE blog. Two tall Omega Trees have been cut down from the forest, but they are truly emblematic in both life and death of what this Great Fraternity is all about. Special Men...
