PHOTOS: Members of Gamma Pi's newest group of initiates lead clothing drive for homeless men
New Omega Men Get to Work Right Away for Gamma Pi with Coat Drive
Newly initiated Brothers who became members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. through Gamma Pi Chapter in April spent a good part of their day on May 19 collecting, organizing and delivering coats for men housed at the Prince George's County House Men's Homeless Shelter in Capital Heights, MD. In the above photos, Brothers are seen laying out the apparel to present to the shelter manager in behalf of the chapter and Fraternity. They were joined by senior member Bro. Charles Cusack, who came out to share some wisdom and help lead the Uplift. The Brothers and the Social Action Committee selected the men's homeless shelter for the project because homeless men's needs are often overshadowed and overlooked. In the photos along with Bro. Cusack are Bros. Lee Best, Kelvin Romney, Brandon Canaday, Dwight Rollins and George Montgomery.
