The Super Chapter Helps the African-American Community Attack Mental Health
Members of the Gamma Pi Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. did their best to bring the touchy but important subject of mental health out into the open during a community mental health seminar on Saturday, October 29, at the Jones-Hill House football fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Maryland. The purpose of the two-hour session was to educate people about the impact and challenges of mental health in the African-American community, especially regarding Black men. In the photos above, chapter members and others from the community listen to information from mental health medical professionals. At left, Bro. Michsel Locksley, who is the head football coach at the University of Maryland, leads the session along with members of his Spring 2022 line that was initiated into the Fraternity in April 2022.
