Social Action Team Brings Pride, Confidence and Excitement to QueKidz Participants Through Robot-building Project

The youth in the Kentland community may not have many of the amenities of kids who live in the upscale areas. But one thing they have going for them is the support of the Brothers of Gamma Pi. Through the chapter's QueKidz initiative, they get to explore, experiment and get exposed to cultural and educational stimuli they otherwise would not know about. On Sturday, April 20, the Super Chapter took several hours and worked patiently with about a dozen or so youth side-by-side to help them build kit robots! When fully assembled, the devices moved, spun, turned, flipped, and made noise. One even hovered...no joke! Today's ession taught them life lessons as much as science and interest in the STEM fields. They learned confidence and how to follow instructions. This is how we do it when it comes to our kids ... it's about taking time and being patient and teaching lessons... MORE PHOTO AND VIDEOS.
