Gamma Pi Brothers Rally Around the Mom of a Member Who Fights, Beats COVID-19

PictureMother's Day Welcome home for Mom Hare!
If there was a nationwide competition among Omega men for who had the best Mother’s Day 2020, Brother Terence Hare, of Gamma Pi Chapter, would win hands down. Actually, there would likely be no competition. Why? Because on Saturday night, May 9, Maxine Hare, Terence’s 81-year-old mother climbed out of her hospital bed in Charlotte and returned home just in time for Mother’s Day after a courageous and victorious battle against Coronavirus. “It was the best Mother’s Day ever,” Bro. Hare told Charlotte TV station WSOC Channel 9 in an on-camera interview.  During his mother’s long convalescence, Bro. Hare experienced firsthand, in a unique and special way, the tightly linked Bonds of Omega as he received support from his Line Brothers (2015) including one who lived in the Charlotte area (Perryn Stewart) and another who drove nearly 500 miles with him from Bowie, MD to Charlotte (Sheku Alieu) to be by his side and help him care for his mother for two weeks of her hospitalization. Click on the link below the above photo to watch the WSOC-TV Channel 9 Charlotte story about Bro. Hare’s mother. Read a more detailed story on the Gamma Pi LIVE blog. Mom Survives COVID-19
