Gamma Pi Pulls "Double Duty" on Holiday Weekend to Serve County Residents

This was one of those weekends when the Brothers of Gamma Pi pulled "double duty." One team was on duty Saturday morning, October 10,leading a free food distribution drive and free COVID-19 testing at Northwestern High School in Adelphi, for families impacted by the economic devastation of COVID-19, which has ravaged Prince George's County this year. Another team was gathered on videoconferencing platform welcoming students to the 2020-2021 academic year of Gamma Pi's flagship educational initiative, Project ENRICH. Former Prince George's County Executive Bro. Rushern Baker and State Del. Bro. Nick Charles spoke to the students, who represented 9-12th grades. With the summer months falling further and further behind in the rear view mirror, the chapter is gearing up for the fall stretch run with a number of community social action initiatives. Read here to learn more about Gamma Pi's outstanding work helping county residents navigate COVID-19 this year. Also, read about Project ENRICH's successful opening session on our Gamma Pi LIVE blog.
