Omega Talent Hunt: The Best Place to See Tomorow's Stars for FREE
In just a few weeks, the auditorium at Charles H. Flowers High School in Springdale, Md. will be converted to the equivalent of a large theatre for performing arts. There will be pianists, cellists, drummers and plenty of solo vocalists who can hit notes way up into the atmosphere. There will be drama ( the good kind) and poetry and people painting creating really exciting art on canvasses. Gamma Pi's Annual Omega Talent Hunt returns on Saturday afternoon, March 12, at 4 p.m. Gamma Pi is reaching out across the DMV for talented high school students looking to compete in the big show for prizes and notoriety. In the above photos, a contestant from last year's event (left) and enthused audience members (right) get into the performances. Know of any young people in the area who can carry a tune a long ways and who can bang out riffs on the ivories like Stevie Wonder (or Alicia Keys), send an email to Brother Dr. Leroy Barton at keikenmusic@yahoo.com. If you just want to be entertained and want to marvel at the level of talent in Prince Gorge's County, then we will see you on Saturday, March 12 at 4:00 pm. Free admission! For more information: Talent Hunt '16.
