Thanks to Technology, 'Ques' Can Link Up from Almost Anywhere, No Matter the Distance
When African American men in high positions get together in a room, chances are better than good that at least one of them is an Omega man. What are the chances that there will be two or even more in the room? In the photo above, a Google Hangout video call between the U.S. Consul General in Cape Town, South Africa and the Administrator of the NASA space agency seems like just another interaction between high government officials. Not really. Bro. Teddy Taylor (left), the Consul General, talks to NASA Administrator Bro. Charles Bolden (on screen) via the Google Hangout. Bro. Taylor was at the Children’s Science Center in Cape Town and Bro. Bolden was here in the U.S. According to Bro. Taylor, NASA and the South African Space Agency enjoy a robust and proactive partnership. NASA is also an active partner in South Africa's effort to build human capital in STEM programs. Just to show you how it always comes full circle for Omega men, Bro. Bolden visited Gamma Pi several years ago during Bro. Taylor’s last monthly chapter meeting before Bro. Taylor, a past three-term Gamma Pi Basileus, departed for a three-year ambassadorial tour in the South Pacific. Maybe they always knew they would meet up again.
