Seems Like Just Yesterday Project ENRICH Was Closing Out the Year ...

In a few weeks, Gamma Pi opens the door on another year of its flagship educational program, Project ENRICH. The program for the 2016-17 academic year kicks off on Saturday, October 8, at 9 a.m., with the Opening Convocation at Bowie State University and the first monthly session to follow a couple weeks later on Saturday, October 22, also at Bowie State. In first photo above (left to right) Stedman Cook, Alexis Jones and Gammon Gresham take a break during one of the monthly sessions at the end of last year's program. Willie Hines, Jr. is in the second photo. Cook, Gresham and Hines are now college freshmen: Cook is a scholar-athlete at the University of Connecticut (track), Gresham is a POSSE scholar at the University of Wisconsin and Hines is a scholar-athlete (baseball) at N.C. A&T State University.  Ms. Jones is a returning Project ENRICH senior.  Project ENRICH will hold a special recruitment drive this month with an event scheduled for Saturday, September 17, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Gaywood Elementary School at 6701 97th Avenue in Seabrook. The event is free and will give students and parents an opportunity to learn more about Project ENRICH. For information, send an email to projectenrich@gmail.com
