Que Kidz Get a Taste of HBCU Football Saturday, Courtesy of Gamma Pi

On Fall Saturday afternoons, throughout the South and further up the East Coast, students and supporters of Historically Black Colleges and Universities pile in the car with family and friends and head to the stadiums of their favorite schools. It's called HBCU Football Saturday. And the youth in Gamma Pi's Que Kidz program got a taste of it on Saturday, September 24, as special guests at the Morgan State University-Howard University game at Morgan State's Hughes Stadium.  A total of 15 youths from the Kentland Community in Prince George's County were accompanied by a dozen members of the Super Chapter to an evening of good football, excitement and pageantry only found at HBCU campuses. The youth got to tailgate, cheer with the crowd and even tour the campus. It happened to be an early evening game that started at 7 p.m. By the way, Morgan State beat Howard 28-24 on a late touchdown. That final result caused a little "consternation" in The Super Chapter! Visit the Gamma Pi website to learn more about QueKidz and how the program helps underprivileged youth in a tough community explore life and learn to achieve.
