Gamma Pi Ques Help Make Playground Safer, Cleaner for Local Kids
When it comes to serving the needs of children and youth, the Black Greek-Letter Organizations are quick to answer the call. On Saturday, October 1, Gamma Pi joined forces with the sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's Iota Gamma Omega chapter to lead the way on a local quality of life project by sprucing up the playground at District Heights Elementary School. Despite the rainy, chilly weather buffeted by windy conditions, Brothers and Sorors turned out to make Playground Project Mobilization Day a success! In the photo at left, the group pauses for a shot at the end of the project. At right, Brothers and a Soror display the tools of the cleanup mission. You will always find The Super Chapter at the front of the line for community service, thanks to the Social Action Committee! Photos by Bro. Raphael Terrell.
