​Gamma Pi Brother Leads Local Youth to Yet Another World Kuk Sool Title

On March 23, Brother Marlin A Godfrey (Pyung Kwang Jah Nim 5th Degree master Instructor)  traveled to Sault Set Marie, MI, with 38 of his students from the DMV. They braved a 16 hour trip through the mountains, weathered a couple ice storms and a broken down bus, in order to make it to the 2017 World Kuk Sool Association Great Lakes Tournament, to defend to Top School Flag that they originally won at this tournament in 2012. Brother Godfrey (Gamma Pi '11) and his martial arts school successfully defended the Top School Flag in 2013, 2015 at the Great Lakes Tournament and he was awarded the 2016 tournament which was held at Bowie State University in April of 2016. He and his team had to travel again to defend the flag they won at the Bowie State tournament.  They competed against 13 schools from the US and Canada with about 200 total competitors, and in Super Chapter fashion they won the Flag again.
The 2018 Tournament will be back at Bowie State University and we look forward to keeping up our winning traditions.
