Project ENRICH's Essay Contest Helps Students Master "Stage Fright"
In the above photo, it appears these two Gamma Pi Brothers are distant and unaware of each other's presence . Actually, nothing could be further from the truth and they are working quite closely together. Long after the session has ended, Brothers Rev. George Ferguson (left) and Lucien Cox are scoring the recent essays presented by students participating in the chapter’s Project ENRICH program, as they will be providing the students detailed feedback on their performance. The essays were presented on April 22 at Bowie State University, where Project ENRICH is held monthly during the school year. Project ENRICH starts students in ninth grade and works with them up until graduation to prepare them for college. Students and their families are exposed to information about financial aid, scholarships, the college application process, and the students learn to develop habits and tools that will help them individually get in position to succeed in college. The 2016-17 closing program is scheduled for Saturday, June 3. For more details about Project ENRICH and its upcoming closing program visit the website and Facebook page.
