Gamma Pi Brother Honored by National Alumni Association at Florida A&M
Congratulations to Gamma Pi’s Bro. Teddy Taylor (Gamma Pi ’90) on being named a Distinguished Alumni of Florida A&M University during a ceremony and program held on May 26 at the National Alumni Association’s annual convention in Baltimore. Bro. Taylor, a former three-term Basileus for Gamma Pi, is among nine alumni who were honored as Distinguished Alumni, including entertainer K. Michelle who was also in attendance at the program. Bro. Taylor is a career diplomat for the U.S. Department of State who is currently serving over in South Africa as U.S. Consul General for Cape Town. Bro. Ambassador Taylor is ending a three-year tour of duty there later this year. Previously he was U.S. Ambassador for Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Taylor and his outstanding diplomatic career will be included in the next upcoming issue of The Gamma Pi Gazette which will be published in late June. Two other Gamma Pi members who are Florida A&M Alumni are Bro. Jim Jones (Upsilon Psi '62) and Bro. Ruddy Gainer (Gamma Pi '13).
