Project ENRICH Open House for 2017-18 Draws Full House in South Bowie
More than 50 students and parents came to the South Bowie Community Center on a balmy Saturday afternoon to learn about and sign up for Gamma Pi's Project ENRICH college preparatory program. The Open House kicked off the 2017-18 campaign for the program that navigates students through the maze of AP courses, admissions and testing, scholarship and financial aid as well as college and major choice involved in transitioning from high school to college. Students begin the program in 9th grade and go through 12th grade graduation. Each year, the focus changes as students get closer to graduation and the college application process. Project ENRICH is held the second Saturday each month at Bowie State University. Some youth from the program have gone on to graduate from Bowie State as well as many other area colleges and universities.
