​Gamma Pi TV Highlights 50 Years of Existence in Special Broadcast

On March 15, 2023, the Super Chapter taped a special episode of its long-running public affairs show Community UPLIFT, marking its 50th Anniversary year. The episode is the first in a two-part series looking at the chapter's first 50 years. The chapter was chartered by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. on March 5, 1973. The first episode debuted on March 31 featuring four of the charter members: Brothers Tim McIntosh, Donald Herring Sr., John Robinson and Clemmie Solomon, who recalled the early days laying the groundwork for what has now grown into one of the largest chapters in the Fraternity. The show was produced by an all-Gamma Pi crew in front of and behind the camera, including Basileus Richard Allison II and Vice Basileus Eric Fields. The show is airing now on Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 4 p.m. on Comcast (Ch. 76) and Verizon FiOS(Ch. 42) throughout Prince George's County and in parts of Montgomery County..
